I surprised myself because I have been using the treadmill a lot lately. For those of you that don’t know me. I hate running. Before, I’d say I hate it with a passion. Now it’s pretty much like, getting to know a person I didn’t like in the beginning ’cause that person was intimidating and now we’re ok. I mean it’s true right? Sometimes, there are people you think are so intimidating or arrogant ’cause of how they carry themselves. But once you get to know them, you’re like “Oh, that person’s pretty awesome. I actually like hanging out with that person.”
I usually use the elliptical at the gym, until I got bored. I wanted a challenge. I have been avoiding the treadmill for quite some time now. But once I tried it. I am slowly liking it.
And because it seems that I am slowly getting serious with the time and distance of my run, I decided it was best to get better running shoes that won’t hurt my knees or shins. I kind of have a knee problem. I have no idea why, it’s not major, but I claim in Jesus name that it will disappear.
For my birthday, I had asked Nick that I would like anything I can wear to the gym, and that of course included new running shoes. I got these new babies over the weekend and test drove them last night. The one in the photo is different from what I have. Instead of it being all black and silver, I got the ones that are black and sky blue. I’ll take a photo sometime soon. But not now. The shoes are very comfortable and cushiony. Which is exactly what I need for my feet.
Let’s see where this whole running thing goes. For now, I am enjoying it. I’m mixing up my workout that way I can see the results that I want in no time.
